James R. Shoemaker

​​PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Shoemaker was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in 1982 and practiced law with the firm of Doub & Muntzing in Washington, D.C. from 1982-1986.  He concentrated in federal and state energy regulatory law.  He was admitted to the Maryland State Bar in 1983, joined Shoemaker, Horman, & Clapp, P.A. in 1987, and later served as Principal & Managing Partner.  Mr. Shoemaker's practice has focused on estate planning and administration since 1990. He currently serves as the Trust Clerk for the Frederick County Circuit Court.​
